About the Author

Kent Beck is the godfather of XP. He also pioneered CRC cards, the HotDraw drawing editor framework, the xUnit testing framework and (with Erich Gamma) its open source Java variant JUnit, the rediscovery of test-first programming, and patterns for software development. He leaves on 20 rural southern Oregon acres with his wife, five children, two dogs, and a variable number of domestic fowl.
