Presentation Abstract

The conformance test suite for CORBA ORBs incorporate many aspects of functional testing, e.g. compiler output tests, API testing and protocol testing. Test methods, configurations, required tools and their integration are presented for both the C++ and the Java test suite implementation. The test suite which covers the CORBA specification 2.3 of the OMG has been already executed to verify CORBA implementations.

About the Author

Dr. Ina Schieferdecker studied Mathematical Computer Science at the Humboldt University in Berlin and received her Ph.D. from the Technical University in Berlin in 1994. Since 1993, she is a researcher at GMD FOKUS and a lecturer at Technical University Berlin since 1995. Her technical and research work covers testing methods for distributed systems and formal methods for the design, validation and prototyping of distributed systems. Dr. Ina Schieferdecker set-up the Competence Center for Testing, Interoperability and Performance (TIP) of GMD FOKUS in 1997 and is the head of TIP since then.
