Inter-Operability: the testing issue

Key Points

Presentation Abstract

The objective of attaining systems inter-operability is to ensure that the information systems and applications of organisations form an integrated whole, allowing all applications to exploit the data resources in different information systems. Inter-operability also means that the products in question have passed some form of external conformance test. The cost benefits related to this inter-operability are significant as they impact upon, and encourage common investments, economies of scale, an open supplier market and ultimately lower product price.

This presentation shows how inter-operability testing can be organised, what the pre-requisites are and real world examples.
